Aside from the myriad of remodeling chores, painting, gardening, traveling some more to see relatives and fretting about the stock market, I have spent the last few months readying a whole bunch o'stuff for a couple of holiday craft shows. In the middle of all that I had to tear down my studio to allow carpet layers in there to replace 25 year old carpet. You can only imagine my horror when they took it out and I was able to see the back side of it.
For some reason it seemed like it took way longer to put the studio all back together. I had this big plan that it would be ever-so-much more organized and pretty when it was all done. Other than the new carpet, that's not the case. But oh, well, I've been having a ball creating new stuff.
Here are a couple of photos of several things I had going on at the same time a number of weeks ago. You can kind of see that I hop around from one thing to another. If I think a piece isn't working out I set it aside and work on something else and then miraculously, that first piece tends to come back to life later.
I'm not sure I'm going to attempt to sell the tags at these upcoming craft shows. I'm just not sure that anyone would actually pay for them. I do like making them, though. I have so many little scraps of ribbons, lace, ric-rac, buttons and it is very satisfying on some level to do something with them.
